Greenbrier East 6, Oak Hill 1
FAIRLEA – Ian Gadd had his first hat trick for Greenbrier East and the defending state champions went on to knock off Oak Hill 6-1 in boys soccer action Tuesday night.
Dawson Trusty, Parker Hill and John Withrow each had a single goal for Greenbrier East and Withrow and Carter Tolliver had assists.
The Greenbrier East defense was outstanding. Oak Hill had only six shots and keeper Joe Cochran did not record a save.
For Oak Hill (1-1) Nathan Hurt recorded the Red Devils goal.
Keep Jake Dickens had eight saves for Oak Hill.
Greenbrier East (2-0-1) hosts Buckhannon-Upshur on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Oak Hill is at Ripley at Noon Saturday.
